The goal of “Émergence” is to draw attention to the work of young researchers in literary studies. The collection publishes conference proceedings on diverse topics in keeping with the multisecular and pluridisciplinary approach of Tangence.

Émergence, notably, highlights the proceedings of the biennial conference of the UQAR/UQAC/UQTR joint masters and doctoral programs in letters, originally published by the journal Protée.
